Senior Living Memberships
Ask about: DASS LinkCare™ – our new medical-dental integration initiative designed to help senior communities reduce avoidable medical emergencies by addressing the dental issues that often cause them.
Program cost: less than one facility citation.
Let’s protect your residents and reduce preventable costs — together.
The Challenge
Even the most dedicated dental teams face limits within today’s system.
Low reimbursement rates, high turnover, and minimal insurance coverage make it hard to keep oral care consistent for every resident.
As a result, dental health too often becomes reactive — addressed only after pain, infection, or family concern.
Many communities try to fill the gap by arranging transportation or bringing in mobile dental programs. While well-intended, these solutions often create new problems: disrupted routines, incomplete records, inconsistent follow-up, and rising frustration among care teams and families.
And somewhere in that process, the resident — the person the system is meant to serve — loses their voice.
The DASS Difference
Dental Advocacy Support Services bridges the gap between what dental providers can do and what care teams need to keep residents healthy — and families confident.
We don’t replace your dental partners — we make their work go further.
Through staff training, clearer communication, and early detection, DASS prevents the emergencies, complaints, and survey findings that cost time, money, and trust.
Our ongoing membership support gives residents a voice in their own dental care, empowers caregivers to act early, and delivers the structured system families assume already exists when they choose your community.
How We Strengthen Your Community
We make dental care easier to manage, safer to deliver, and more consistent across your team.
Through training, structure, and collaboration, we help staff catch small issues before they become costly emergencies.
When you work with DASS, you’re not just improving dental outcomes — you’re investing in your people.
We help caregivers, nurses, and department heads feel supported, capable, and proud of the care they give every day.

Introducing DASS LinkCare™
Where Dental and Medical Prevention Work Together
LinkCare™ is an innovative screening program that connects oral health with overall wellness. It helps care teams recognize medical-dental risk factors early — before they turn into costly or preventable emergencies.
Through structured staff training, medication-related risk assessments, and care coordination tools, LinkCare™ creates a direct line between nursing staff, dental providers, and medical teams. The result: fewer hospital transfers, fewer complications, and stronger resident outcomes.
Program Highlights:
- Integrates oral-health checks into daily nursing routines
- Identifies medication and health conditions that increase dental risk
- Reduces emergency room visits and avoidable medical events
- Provides documentation and tracking to support compliance and care planning
- Can be layered into any membership tier or implemented as a stand-alone initiative
Program Value:
Costs less than one facility citation — yet delivers lasting impact through prevention, communication, and collaboration.
Why It Matters
Oral health is one of the most overlooked factors in overall wellness — yet it directly affects nutrition, infection control, quality of life, and emergency costs.

When dental care is reactive instead of preventive, the results are expensive and disruptive:
- $20,000–$30,000 per hospital transfer related to preventable oral infections
- Increased staff strain managing last-minute dental or medical emergencies
- Declines in resident nutrition and comfort due to untreated dental issues
- Family complaints and survey risks tied to visible or painful oral conditions
Through DASS membership and LinkCare™, communities shift from reacting to preventing.

What We Don’t Do:
Dental Advocacy Support Services operates as an independent, non-clinical resource — we do not perform or supervise dental or medical treatment.
We do not diagnose conditions, apply materials, prescribe care, or bill for clinical services.
We do not replace licensed dental or medical providers, make treatment decisions, or direct the course of clinical care.
All diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision-making remain the responsibility of the licensed provider.
Any decisions made after informed consent belong solely to the individual receiving care or their legal Power of Attorney (POA).
Our role is educational and advocacy-based. We help residents, families, and care teams:
- Understand treatment plans, coverage, and documentation
- Improve communication between caregivers and dental or medical professionals
- Strengthen preventive routines through staff education and system support
These boundaries not only uphold professional ethics — they also protect your community by ensuring advocacy stays transparent, compliant, and aligned with licensed providers.
Professional Transparency
Dental Advocacy Support Services operates strictly in a non-clinical, educational, and advocacy capacity.
All partnerships and memberships operate within DASS’s defined Scope of Practice to ensure compliance, professionalism, and clarity for every care setting.
